    Now it's personal!

I liked it, cripples are always funny. And with those bionic limbs, he'll be better, stronger, faster than before!

i sense a bit of rob heinlein-ism in this. :)

Love it! :) The longer stuff is doin' it for me.

I agree that the muted colours and black backgrounds work in this strip. What have you changed? Because over the last month or so you've probably been as good and consistent as I can remember. Absolutely loving SCP at the moment.

Also, I just noticed that you spelt 'colour' correctly, yay for British English!

This reminds me a lot of The Forever War by Joe Haldeman.
If you haven't read it, it's a great book.

Not the biggest fan of the tall format, but I love the content of this strip.

I love it. Do I detect a hint of sadness in the lobster man's eye-stalks?
  • Mike · 9 months ago
    I like it.

I only want to add: the black panel with the nurse's voice, very cool.

I really like the comic idea, not very happy with the ending and the way it worked out, so a miss from me.

    Keep em coming!

Man, I'm loving the morbid, barely funny stuff you're doing. Not that it's not funny, I do laugh. But it's sending such a message lately. This one is great. Keep up the fantastic work!

The puny earth-human should not be sad. Now he has better limbs.

This seems to just SCREAM to me that you still have a love of 'sad robots'. Sure, he's human... For now.

The first 4-5 panels seem redundant.

One of your best. I thought you were going in a completely different direction, but this was way better.

ACME Prosthetics: "Made for War, not Love"(TM)

I thought the joke was going to be something along the lines of "of course, they're not cheap... it'll cost you an arm and a leg"

and then the doctor and the soldier both burst out laughing.

A little long, you could easily ditch panels 3-4 and not lose anything> Other than that... HI-larious. Are you the creator of Hi and Lois? Because you are making me laugh. Seriously, awesome. Good to see the lulz.

The first thing I thought when I saw this (besides the awesome-looking lobster person) was that you'd IMPROVED your coloring. I think you usually pour too many different tones onto a character. What you've done here, with just one basic color and one shaded color, is really all most webcomic art ever needs. It looks crisp and actually more eye-catching that way...

I think Chrinos has a point. That poor fellow is going to end up like Mr. Johns...

I like the recursive loop he's stuck in. He needs the money so he takes a hazardous job that causes him to need more money, sending him back into the hazardous job, which will likely result in more injuries, and so on. Soldiers who are never allowed to quit because they can't afford it, giving you an eternal fighting force. I'm sure not giving them insurance saves the goverment loads as well.
