Simulated Comic Product: Secret Bear

  • Shadowlost · 1 year ago
It's missing that surreal touch that I've grown to love, but it's an otherwise decent comic.

It's good, but what's with the middle frame? Why are they fighting over the bear when there's clearly lots of them (have those been pre-ordered)? ;P
  • Shou · 1 year ago
This is exactly why I don't buy electronic toys... (:

Armitage: There are many, many customers off-panel, most likely. Like when a new home gaming console comes out and the crowd goes wild? I'd imagine it's much the same thing.

It's like a cross between Tickle-Me-Elmo, D.A.R.E., and illegal wiretapping.
  • Leak · 1 year ago
Sooo... "Secret bear is secret"? Or rather "Snitch bear is snitching"?

np: Secede - Vega Libre: Sleeping World (Vega Libre)
  • RealGrouchy · 1 year ago
    No, "Secret bear is secreting"

    (pun most definitely intended)

The guy with the tie doesn't LOOK like Bush, but I think this will finally find him Osama and the WMD.

Not sure if the antenna was needed in the first panel, it did 'give it away' for me... but I am naturally suspicious. great comic

Graphic at second frame is a bit wretched, particularly anatomy, and the idea is nothing special, but otherwise it's okay.

Notice the officer's sleeve -- DHS, or Department of Homeland Security.
I also believe this is a reference to the recently passed "unwarranted wiretapping" bill.

Wasn't this on an episode of Spongebob? Not with the government but with one character trying to trick another character into revealing their secrerts using a similar ruse?
  • Kelson · 1 year ago
@Barry: I'd say it's more like a Furby living up to its full potential. Those things were actually banned from the offices of the US Department of Defense (or some such government agency) because they could be used as recording devices.

Awesome stuff, what made it the funniest for me was the serious concentration on the DHS officer's face when he reports the 'secrets'.
  • Simon · 1 year ago
Shit, this reminds me alot of a new law in Sweden that allows the military to scan all comunication across our borders

"Hey terrorists! It's Secret Bear! You tell him your secrets!"
  • ethana2 · 1 year ago
Perfect for mothers-in-law and workplace higher-ups!
  • Grim Eskimo · 1 year ago
Tom some one already made that joke and this is like spongebob when he gives patrick the secret bear too see if he stole his jelly fishing net
  • Buddhaofwar · 1 year ago
hmm, the joke is interesting, but it is almost as if it gives too much closure. With a product like that, it is weird to see who is on the other end of it all. After seeing some of your other, slightly more eerie comics, this one sort of drops the ball a little. Feels more like SMBC than a SCP.
I'm not trying to flame you or anything, just some honest feedback.

tl;dr lacking that creepy factor I've come to know and love.

    I love that =3

Jesus H.Christmas - what are you donkeys talking about? It's obviously photoshopped, as there is no such thing as a Secret Bear
