I also had that game on my Commodore 64.  My dad's buddy had the game too, and he once decided to be pure jerkwad and let the guy go hungry/thirsty/bored/sick... he turned green, and still no aid was given. Finally the little computer person walked out the front door (left his dog behind) and never was to be seen again! Even after reloading the game, the guy was  GONE!
