Simulated Comic Product: Welcome Aboard

Is Dr. Bowman also dressed as Dr.Freeman?
  • Peter · 9 months ago
This one didn't really do anything for me.
  • darkrowan · 9 months ago
The flow of the comic is just... weird. That and there's no hook or punchline to draw a reader in. Just... oddity with no purpose.
  • podunk42 · 9 months ago
    I liked it.

    If you die is space...

    Yikes! I'll fix that
  • Gr3m1in · 9 months ago
    "Open the heavenly gates, God."
    "I'm sorry, I can't do that, Dave."
  • Justin · 9 months ago
    LMAO, man. LMAO.
  • Trebor · 9 months ago
Yeah, didn't do too much for me either. I think a lot of it was the way it's laid out, hard to follow. I like the concept behind it, but it really needed to be fleshed out more.
  • Galcian · 9 months ago
I've gotta say I liked it - it was a short story rather than the usual 2 panels and a punch line, and thinking of it as such, it's a good one: mystery, intrigue and of course haunted space stations!
  • Simwebb · 9 months ago
I do dig this one, it's got a nice B-movie edge to it.
  • Alon · 9 months ago
Loved it and hoping that Bowman is a nod to A.C. Clarke.
Though I don't recall Dave being a Phd...
  • ~.~ · 9 months ago
This gives me the creeps.... esp. how they'll be living with Rogers for a long long... time....
  • EOTD · 9 months ago
I definitely love it - it's different, it's thoughtful, and it leaves you coming up with the rest of the story on your own, which tends to be more entertaining in the long run.

My only criticism is he layout - it's not immediately clear what order the panels are in, and having it horizontal rather than vertical gave the end away early.
  • Ben · 9 months ago
If you continue this into a multi-strip arc involving Bowman's attempts to put the spirit of Rogers at rest, I will be happy.

If you play it with around the same ratio of comedy to horror as is in this strip, I will worship you.

While I do enjoy your traditional format and jokes, I really liked this tangent (if you will). Feel free to make more if you're so inclined.
  • ollie · 9 months ago
that was an "the outer limit' episode, basically

maybe write a comic. this is more like a premise for a longer story
  • ollie · 9 months ago
I meant to say "maybe write it as a longer comic... this is more like a premise for a longer story"
  • daz · 9 months ago
Could this count as fan fiction?
  • daz · 9 months ago
BTW, I agree that this story isn't finished. We need closure!
  • EOTD · 9 months ago
I don't think so. It's a lot more fun to speculate on how it might have happened and what might happen next than to just have it spoon-fed to us. I'd like to see more like this, actually.

Will the Rapture leave half the moon base unoccupied? Would the Last Trump call forth the dead of Venus? What galaxy is Hell in, anyway?

I liked this comic more that you can imagine.
  • Steve · 9 months ago
Haha so it's not a joke, just creepy and scary!
  • Grey · 9 months ago
Yes, don't die in space. Especially not for heart attack because of frightering..

    Spooky!
  • Andolus · 9 months ago
There's something inherently odd about ghosts who yell.

Seems to me they would be patient enough to wait until Dr. Bowman woke up by himself.
  • ollie · 9 months ago
this is similar to an episode of "Outer Limits" called Dark Matters

    http://www.theouterlimits.com/episodes/season1/...

    still a cool idea
  • Derrick · 9 months ago
What the hell? Is this a comic or the start of some graphic novel? Where's the lulz?
  • Chris · 9 months ago
SCP is more poignant than lulz. I liked this one even though it isn't really a joke.
  • Richard · 9 months ago
I actually lol'd on this one. I have kind of a twisted sense of humor though. Still good.
  • Much Better Than You · 9 months ago
Man, that's a twisted motherhugging sense of humor. And I'm still laughing.
And I don't think this storyline needs a sequel, although it wouldn't be unappreciated.

Note to self: no DNR orders in space whatsoever.
  • Shou · 9 months ago
Your mind SCARES me, man. I was just about to head to bed, too. I'M GOING TO HAVE GHOSTS-IN-SPACE NIGHTMARES, and it's totally your fault, man!

I'm just kidding. It was a rather creepy thing to post, but I enjoy it. (:
It reminds me of a Doctor Who episode... (The one with the Vashta Narada, I think they were called.. If anyone gets my reference?)
  • Avnas Ishtaroth · 9 months ago
Dave, stop. Stop, will you? Stop, Dave. Will you stop, Dave? Stop, Dave. I'm afraid. I'm afraid, Dave. Dave, my mind is going. I can feel it. I can feel it. My mind is going. There is no question about it.

Yewah, the flow is odd - vertical instead of horizontal. Threw me off for a while.
